At the initiative of the management of Foglie Dalloro, a cultural and educational excursion was organized to explore the historical corners of Baku. The aim of the event was to connect the team with the city’s architectural and cultural heritage while strengthening team spirit through the shared discovery of unique pages of history.
One of the key stops was the house-museum of Nariman Narimanov, a prominent public and political figure.
A special impression was made by the visit to the building of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fizuli of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan - the first girls' gymnasium in the Transcaucasus, founded by the philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev. This iconic place is rightfully considered a symbol of education and progress in the region.
As part of the excursion, we visited the residences of Baku’s millionaires dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These magnificent mansions impress with their preserved stucco, wall paintings, and exquisite frescoes that still carry the spirit of a bygone era.
The excursion offered participants not only vivid impressions but also a deeper appreciation of Baku’s rich cultural heritage — a chance to look at history through architecture and reflect on timeless values such as education, art, and enlightenment.
